Chuck Tiede

Chuck Tiede has engaged in a general practice in Wabash County for more than fifty years, beginning in 1958.

He continues a limited practice with the firm, primarily in the fields of estate planning and administration. He has been active in community affairs in Wabash County for over half a century. Chuck served thirty years as a director of The Honeywell Foundation, fifty years as counsel to the Metropolitan School District of Wabash County, and was the organizer, director, and first president of Frances Slocum Bank and Trust Company. He has twice been honored with Sagamore of the Wabash Awards by Governors Joe Kernan and Mitch Daniels, and, most recently, recognized by Governor Daniels as a Distinguished Hoosier.
Stephen Downs

Steve Downs, a graduate of Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis and has been practicing in Wabash County since 1974.

Steve concentrates his practice in business planning, banking, creditors’ rights, estate planning and administration, real estate and zoning, personal injury, and general litigation.

Steve presently serves as counsel for the County of Wabash, Wabash County Hospital, Metropolitan School District of Wabash County, Peru Community Schools, Crossroads Bank, First Financial Bank, First Merchants Bank, and Beacon Credit Union.

Steve is active in the community, presently serving on the boards of The Honeywell Foundation, Inc. and Wabash Marketplace, Inc. He is past president of both of those organizations as well as of the Wabash Chamber of Commerce, the Wabash City Schools Board, and the Wabash Rotary Club.

Albert Schlitt

Albert J. Schlitt, is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, has been practicing in Indiana since 1966.

Al’s practice has included a broad range of law with a special emphasis on estate planning and estate administration.

Al is admitted to practice before the Northern and Southern District Court and the United States Supreme Court. From 1966-1969, he was a Deputy Attorney General, for the State of Indiana, handling highway condemnation cases. He was a partner in the firm of Daggett, Schlitt & Stoops, (formerly Browne, Daggett & Schlitt) from 1969-1998. He was then elected Wabash County Prosecutor in 1970 and served from 1971-1974. In 1999, Al joined the firm of Tiede Metz & Downs, P.C.

He has been Attorney for Manchester Community School Corp., since 1977. He is a member of the Wabash County Bar Association and President of Wabash County Bar Association in1974-1979, and since 1994. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Christian Legal Society, District 5 Pro Bono Attorneys, and Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church, North Manchester.

Jordan Tandy

Jordan Tandy practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and general civil litigation.

Jordan currently serves as a public defender in Wabash County, representing juveniles in delinquency proceedings. He is licensed to practice in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. He is a member of the Wabash County Bar Association.

Jordan received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis. Before joining Tiede Metz & Downs, he was employed with the Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office, where he represented the State in both felony and misdemeanor cases. Jordan prepared for his legal studies at Valparaiso University, where he received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and at Ball State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

Jordan lives in Wabash with his wife, Ashley, and they are members of Zion Lutheran Church. He serves on the board of directors for the Wabash County YMCA, the Wabash Kiwanis Club, and Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana.

Josh Petruniw

Josh Petruniw practices primarily in the areas of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, business planning, estate planning and general litigation.

Josh is licensed to practice in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Josh is a member of the Wabash County Bar Association.

Josh received his J.D. and MBA from Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis and the Kelley School of Business. During graduate school, he worked in a criminal court in Marion County and a law firm specializing in employment litigation. Before entering law school, Josh worked in the Child Support offices of Marion County where he helped Spanish speaking clients initiate and enforce support orders. Josh completed his undergraduate degree at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, graduating cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in History and a minor in Spanish.

Josh and his fiancé, Kristen, will be married in October 2011. They look forward to making Wabash their home for years to come.
